I need your help

I need meal ideas. I have the hardest time figuring out what to make for dinner. I need Something that takes less than 45 minutes to prepare (or can be prepared the night before) is decently healthy and inexpensive. I need to do a good shop so please give me a few ideas each. Thanks in advance.

I like to do a quick chicken stir-fry. I do bite size chicken pieces (I cut it earlier in the day or the night before to save on prep later) I mix up some honey and soy sauce and garlic and pepper and marinate the chicken for about 20 minutes. I start the brown rice and then when it's halfway done I cook up the chicken (with the sauce). When it's cooked I set it aside and cook up some stir-fry veggies (just the frozen kind) Then I put the chicken back in the pan and add a little cornstarch mixed with water to thicken it up. Serve it over the rice - really simple, really tasty. (And pretty healthy and cheap)

And I'll think of some more ideas tomorrow. We had the stir-fry last night, which is why it was on my mind. Tonight we had tacos - another easy, simple meal.

Frozen ravioli with your favorite sauce on top

Baked or grilled chicken with rice-o-roni

Cook cut-up chicken with a ton of olive oil, lemon, and some basil, throw some diced tomatoes in at the last minute so they won't get too cooked, then toss with angel hair or your favorite type of pasta, then put some parmesan on top

You can also saute your favorite fresh veggies in oil olive with a ton of garlic, salt and pepper and then toss with pasta. I love broccoli and carrots this way.

black bean soup -there are some very easy recipes online or I could email you one - you have to really like beans to like this - very healthy and you can serve it with quesadillas on the side

Suddenly Salads (usually by Hamburger helper)- I like the ranch and bacon one - after you follow directions, you can throw in some avocado, tomato, diced chicken and romaine lettuce to make a GREAT summer meal.

Buy a pizza crust mix or the roll out kind and make homemade pizza with your favorite toppings

Marinate chicken and then put it and your favorite veggies on skewers to grill. Serve with rice or baked beans.

Cook chicken or pork in the crock pot, drain it, shred it, and season it to use in tacos or burritos.

Hawaiian haystacks

Waffles or pancakes with chocolate chips thrown in

Mix together mozzarella cheese, penne cooked al dente, some cooked italian sausage (a little goes a long way) and spaghetti sauce, top with more cheese, and bake for a 25 minutes.

Just gonna add that my favorite cheap and healthy pizza toppings are pineapple and some cheap sandwich ham.

oh, and that should have been olive oil and lemon juice, not lemon.

Also, Walmart usually has ground turkey cheaper than ground beef. I like turkey burgers, turkey tacos, turkey chili etc.

Levi and I both agree that we love to use allrecipes.com

Basically, if we do not know what to make, we go to all recipes, go to ingredient seatch and then put it what we have a see wht pops up. Like, chicken, cream of mushroom, and then all those recipes pop up. Tomato sauce, chicken and then see what pops up. There is also a quick meal area. And the best part is there are reviews that will tell you what did and did not work and we usually cook things that are 4 stars or above. I have found some great marinades there and some great simple recipes that I use over and over. And the nice thing is you can print them out on a full page, then just put the page in a clear sleeve and put it in a 3 ring binder. I need to organize mine with dividers because it is sort of spilling out right now... but it is a great reference and my own personal cookbook.

Love allrecipes for ideas.
Chicken stir-fry is a go to meal for me, too.
Spaghetti

Rice with hamburger gravy (just brown the hamburger, then sprinkle about 1/4 cup flour over it and stir up, then add milk/water and stir until it thickens, adding beef bullion and worchester sauce for seasoning.

Taco salad, tacos, enchilada casseroles, burritos, tostados, nachoes (I make up a big batch of beans in the crockpot with chili powder, have beans and cornbread one night, then put the beans through the blender the next day for very cheap fat free refried beans that freeze well and then go into a variety of meals)

Lentil soup, also just discovered lentil tacos on allrecipes.

Split pea soup w/ or w/out ham

Roast red potatoes, then half way through add marinated chicken and a bag of frozen broccoli...tons of different ways you can season this.

Home fries are super easy and go well with hot dogs, chicken nuggets, fish sticks, etc.
