baby gliders

We got to hold them last night. We have one boy and one girl. I only took pictures of the girl because I didn't want to take them both out at once. They are so tiny and cute.

Aww, they are so tiny! I wouldn't exactly call them cute though :) But I feel that way about most newborns!

i actually think they are really cute. when they didn't have their fur and were totally pink they weren't very cute. then again i think newborns are cute.

I forgot to ask ya-what do you feed yours? Jeff and I got a great recipe...

1/4 c wheat germ
1/2 c baby cereal (rice or whatever you want)
1 c honey
1 oz apple juice (100%)
1 oz cranberry juice (100%)
2 oz gerber yogurt juice
2 small jars of chicken baby food
1 egg (scrambled or boiled)
1 thing of yam baby food

Then add some RepCal herbasomething vitamins and Calcium.

Blend it all together in the blender and poor into one of the bigger ice cube trays. One cube will feed 2 adult gliders. You can try it out and see if you like it-it's so easy to feed them with the cubes. I do supplement a little by givin them other treats and fresh stuff-but this guarantees that I've always got something for them, you know? And to help with the juice I will freeze cubes of apple and cranberry juice (each cube is close to an ounce) that way I am not having to buy new juice all the time. The squirrels love their frozen food. Sometimes I'll even throw in a banana or grapes to the mix, too. Just for fun.
